RiRi headed straight back to her hotel following the ink session, as she's set to perform at Stratford's Olympic Stadium on Sunday night for the closing ceremony of the 2012 Paralympic Games. Rumored to be teaming up onstage with Jay-Z, Rihanna apparently missed a scheduled rehearsal on Friday night after being delayed in departing the States thanks to a bit too much post-VMAs partying. Of the late arrival, a source told The Sun, "Rihanna had a private jet waiting for her on the runway in LA to get her to London but she kept it waiting as she celebrated her VMA win for We Found Love. She eventually landed late and went straight to the hotel, missing rehearsals for her guest spot singing Princess Of China with Coldplay. Garnering first place for the second weekend in a row, the Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Kyra Sedgwick starring Lionsgate horror picture's $2.8 million Friday puts it on pace for an estimated three day total of $9.1 million - which surprisingly outpaces the rest of the cinematic challengers. Despite boasting an all-star cast including Shia LaBeouf, Jessica Chastain and Mia Wasikowska, "Lawless" continued its poor showing by turning out a $1.7 million Friday with projections pointing at a $5.7 million weekend. Filling out the top five at the box office in forecasted totals are the newly released Bradley Cooper and Zoe Saldana starring romantic drama "The Words" ($5.0 million), followed by Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jason Statham's action caper "The Expendables 2" ($4.6 million) and the Tony Gilroy directed action/adventure film "The Bourne Legacy" ($3.8 million).

Hollywood Fights Back at "Stand Up to Cancer" Telethon Sep 8th 2012, 17:30 Pooling their efforts for a worthy cause, Hollywood's A-list came out on Friday for the Stand Up to Cancer telethon (September 7). Showing her support on the red carpet, Sofia Vergara wore a black Stand Up to Cancer t-shirt with jeans. Minka Kelly opted for a black tank top emblazoned with the event logo, dark skinny jeans, and black heels. The star-studded third annual event was started to raise money for cancer research. The organization is partnered with the American Association for Cancer Research. Opening the show, Tom Hanks succinctly explained the mission of the event, saying, "Let's build a world where cancer is no more." The program was partly founded by "Spider Man" producer Laura Ziskin, who died last year after battling breast cancer for seven year. Gwyneth Paltrow served as an executive producer for the event. Reminding everyone of the urgency of the goal, Julia Roberts told the audience that one in two men and one in three women will get cancer in their lifetimes and that cancer "kills a child every four hours in this country." She continued, "This is why we have to support Stand Up to Cancer. This extraordinary movement has assembled dream teams of the best doctors and scientists collaborating at a frantic pace to save our lives." Also attending were Michael Douglas, Matt Damon, Robert Pattinson, Justin Timberlake, Eric Stonestreet, Ty Burrell, Chelsea Handler, and Gabby Douglas. Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw, Alicia Keys, and Coldplay performed.

You showed me an amazing amount of love and respect tonight. Love you always." The blonde beauty is slated to continue treatment after her series of concerts are finished in the Midwest.

Taylor Swift Debuts "Ronan" at Stand Up to Cancer Event Sep 8th 2012, 15:51 Making for an emotional debut of her new song, Taylor Swift shared her track "Ronan" at the Stand Up to Cancer telethon at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA on Friday (September 7). The "Fearless" songstress looked elegantly pretty in a red and black printed dress while attempting to hold back tears as she sang the song inspired by a 3-year-old boy who passed away last year from neuroblastoma. Hoping to inspire others to generosity, Taylor took to her Twitter page yesterday to let her fans know about the benefit of purchasing her song on iTunes, writing, "I'm playing a new song 'Ronan' tonight on Stand Up For Cancer. It'll be on iTunes tonight with all my proceeds to cancer related charities." After the heartwarming performance, it looked like fans everywhere were in support of Ms. Swift's new song. The 22-year-old singer posted another photo on her social media page later in the evening which showed that "Ronan" took the number two spot on the iTunes top songs list. Taylor was first motivated to write the song after seeing a blog post from Ronan's mother, Maya Thompson, who Swift also gave a co-writing credit to. The British-born actress looked the vision of summer chic in a plain white shirt, pale pants and sandals. She treated herself to a pedicure before the strolling around the cobbled streets of the city's trendy SoHo district. Naomi, 43, kept her cell phone close to hand at all times but, apart from that, it was a day to unwind after just returning from the premieres and parties of the Venice Film Festival.
