As for her nominations, Miss Minaj is up for trophies in categories including Best Hip-Hop Video, Best Female Video and Best Visual Effects.
Meanwhile, the Kevin Hart hosted 2012 MTV VMAs also boast performances by superstars like Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, P!nk and first-timer Frank Ocean.
