One of the most awaited acts of the evening, Taylor Swift brought her A-game at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday night (September 6).
Decked out in a red and white striped top with black short-shorts, the 22-year-old country darling commanded the Staples Center stage as she delved into her hit tune "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" to close out the show.
Joining Miss Swift amongst the big names to perform, other acts included Alicia Keys, Rihanna, Green Day, P!nk and first-timer Frank Ocean.
With Kevin Hart acting as host, the 2012 MTV VMAs also saw Hollywood stars such as Miley Cyrus, Mac Miller, Ke$ha and the Gold medal winning U.S. gymnastics team best known as the "Fierce Five" dish out MoonMan trophies to this year's deserving winners.
