Keeping the memory of her father alive, Gwyneth Paltrow served as an executive producer at last night's (September 7) Stand Up to Cancer telethon.

Held at the The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, the "Iron Man" actress showed her support in a gray Stand Up to Cancer t-shirt, orange skirt, and black and white open-toed heels.

At the event, the 39-year-old star talked about her father, director Bruce Paltrow. "It's been almost a decade now and I'm sort of more used to the fact that he's not here in physical body," she said. "But I definitely feel his presence, and I think he would be really happy that I'm here tonight doing this and trying to spare other people from what he went through."

The star-studded event included a performance by Taylor Swift of a song she wrote about 3-year-old cancer victim, Ronan. She was inspired to write it after reading the blog of the child's mother, Maya Thompson, whom she credited as co-writer.

Speaking about 3-year-old survivor Justin, Justin Timberlake said, "My buddy Justin is a fighter. That's what you have to be as a child facing a mountain like cancer."

Other celebs who came out to help beat the disease were Emma Stone, Eric Stonestreet, Ray Romano, Gabby Douglas, Ty Burrell, Michael Douglas, Matt Damon, Tom Hanks, Julia Roberts, Sofia Vergara and Robert Pattinson. Tim McGraw, Alicia Keys, and Coldplay also performed.

The event, the third annual, has raised over $180 million so far. Online donations can still be made at standup2cancer.org. Watch the Stand Up to Cancer promo video below.
