Keeping it cool as they made their arrival, One Direction was among the star power to hit the red carpet at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards on Thursday night (September 6).
Known for making their female fans swoon, Harry Styles, Liam Payne, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson drew plenty of screams as they meandered about the Staples Center venue while readying to take the VMAs stage.
Joining One Direction amongst the big names set to perform, other acts include Alicia Keys, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Green Day, P!nk and first-timer Frank Ocean.
With Kevin Hart acting as host, the 2012 MTV VMAs also will see Hollywood stars such as Miley Cyrus, Mac Miller, Ke$ha and the Gold medal winning U.S. gymnastics team best known as the "Fierce Five" dish out MoonMan trophies to this year's surely deserving winners.
