Hoping to earn awards for their cop drama flick, Jake Gyllenhaal and Anna Kendrick attended the "End of Watch" Premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on Saturday (September 8).
While the bearded 31-year-old actor wore a simple black Prada suit with a tieless white dress shirt, his female costar glammed it up in a long black dress with net lace detail and a side slit and open-toed black heels.
Pleased with the outcome, Anna tweeted, "End of Watch screening was breathtaking; audience response was INTENSE. Congrats to Jake, Michael, David Ayer. I'm proud to be part of it."
Also attending the event, held at the Princess of Wales Theatre, were castmates Michael Pena, America Ferrera, and Natalie Martinez.
The movie follows two young police officers marked for death by a notorious Mexican cartel. Fans can see "End of Watch" in the U.S. on September 21st when it hits theaters.
