Opening her doors to give us a peek inside her 10-bedroom Upper East Side tower apartment, Ivanka Trump graces the cover of the October 2012 issue of Elle Decor magazine.
Standing in her living room, the 30-year-old heiress looks stunning in a blue and white dress for the Eric Piasecki shot front page dishing about everything from obsessing over the apartment renovations to becoming a good cook.

On obsessing over her apartment renovations: "I'm detailed to a fault. When we were moving into this apartment and I was pregnant, I went a little nuts with the nesting instinct. For two months, I went around punch-listing every scratch on the floor, making sure each paint job was flawless. The painter practically lived with me. Yes, I'd gotten it perfect, but now let the slow, gradual erosion being. Needless to say, I have mellowed."
On loving the location of her home: "Nothing beats living two blocks from work, not to mention Central Park. At night, I can run home, give Arabella Rose a kiss, a bottle, put her to bed, then return to the office for dinner. Anytime I have five minutes, you'll see me sprinting over to see her."
On decorating her daughter's nursery: "As impractical as it is, what I wanted for my first baby was a simple all-white nursery. Then I started reading books that said babies need color for stimulationan, and I was horrified. Within a month, I'd hung one of those ugly colored mobiles off the crib."
On becoming a good cook: "I didn't cook at all until I was married. Every Friday I leave work early to make a huge meal for just the two fo us. Jared walks in and I'll be on a conference call, steaming wontons, saying, 'Don't bother me now.'"
